Emergency callouts
Tap to ring, top of the screen, nothing in front of it.
Narrow terraces climbing the north side, suburban estates in Douglas and Ballincollig that all went up in the same decade, and three Eircode keys where a city this size in Britain would have twenty postcodes.
Three weeks from go ahead to live, and about ninety minutes of your time: one call, twelve photographs, one read through.

The awkward bits
Eircodes are no use for saying where I cover
Not for a coverage page. T12, T23 and T45 tell a customer nothing about whether you drive to them. So build the page out of Douglas, Ballincollig, Blackpool, Carrigaline and Midleton instead, which is how the enquiry arrives anyway and how it gets typed into a phone.
The estates are all the same age, the same faults, the same money
Which is the easiest page you will ever have written for you. Name the fault, name the estate, say what it costs you in time rather than in euro, and you become the firm that already knows before the call. Repeatable work is worth a page of its own.
Does the boundary change affect what I put on the site?
It affects who you appear to serve. Ballincollig, Blarney, Glanmire and Douglas moved into Cork City Council and the Eircodes did not follow. If your page says city only, a lot of people now inside the city read a P-key on their bill and assume you mean somebody else.
Cork people want a Cork firm
They do, and that counts for more here than in most places — so the page has to prove it in the detail rather than claim it in a heading. Name the roads, the estates and the parishes you actually work, and let a Corkonian recognise them. Anybody can type the word Cork.
What you get
A page per job, never a page per suburb.
Tap to ring, top of the screen, nothing in front of it.
A form that asks size, access and timescale before it asks anything else.
Room for your Gas Safe number where a homeowner looks for it.
Written by symptom, because that is how it gets searched.
The small jobs that fill a quiet week and come back bigger.
A different buyer, a different page, and repeat money.
Is the water off right now?
One question, at the top, before anything else. It sorts an emergency from a quote in a second.
Checkable, like the rest of this page. Here is where we read it.
Cork city has three Eircode routing keys — T12 for the centre and south side, T23 for the north side, T45 at Little Island. A British city of the same size would have twenty postcode districts, so an Irish coverage page cannot be built out of postcodes the way a Leeds one can.

Beeforge is a small studio working across the UK and Ireland. There is no office in Cork and we are not going to pretend otherwise — nothing here says we have worked in the city, only that we build for plumbers who do.
